Calibrations to R-I and Fe/H abundance have been established for G dwarfs in the gnkmfu narrow band system. The accuracy obtained for R-I and Fe/H is + or - 0.02 and + or - 0.15, respectively. Also, a measure of internal consistency between the narrow band indices, Res (k), has been derived. A catalogue of Res (k), R-I and Fe/H, derived from the photoelectric indices, is given for 253 G dwarfs.
