We have calibrated the initial abundances, age and mixing-length parameters of the visual binary system 85 Pegasi. We obtain an age t85 Peg=9 345+/-500 Myr, masses mA=0.88+/-0.01 Msun and mB=0.55+/-0.02 Msun, an initial helium mass fraction Yi=0.25+/-0.01, an initial metallicity [Fe/H]i=-0.185+/-0.054 and mixing-length parameters LambdaA =1.80+/-0.05 and LambdaB =2.14+/-0.10. We find that, as already proposed, 85 Peg B is itself a binary. The mass of the unseen companion is mb~ 0.11 Msun.
