A solution is presented for the Einstein field equation in a Bianchi type V universe with incoherent radiation. As time tends to infinity, the solution gradually loses its anisotropy and approaches the state of isotropic expansion of the early universe. Due to the anisotropy, this model exhibits properties that are totally different from those of the isotropic Friedmann-Robertson-Walker model near the initial singularity. This model's singularity is discussed.
