BCD observations of the Oe star HD 60848 show that the parameters of the continuum are variable and that the variation of the V magnitude and of the colours as a function of D is the same as for Be stars. This result is a new indication that the Be phenomenon can occur in O stars as early as O7.5 or O8. Simultaneous observations of Hα, Paschen lines and Balmer discontinuity show that the amount of emission in the hydrogen lines varies in the same direction as the amount of emission in the Balmer continuum.
