A tiny active region NOAA9165 with its sunspots of~700×10-6disk area is observed at Ganyu-station, Purple Mountain Observatory. It contains a peculiar active spiral filament near which occurs a large flare of b importance with a relatively strong geophysical effect. Computing its magnetic topology we discover that such spiral filament is associated with the lower height-located magnetic loop systems and the strong magnetic shear near the inversion line of magnetic field. Using QSL analysis, it is shown that 3Dmagnetic reconnection may happen in the vicinity of this filament which can be used to explain the b flare appearance.
