We present a three-dimensional model of the low-Earth orbit particulate environment based on observations of interplanetary dust and space debris from which impact fluxes on spacecraft may be determined. Incorporation of empirical relationships to relate impacting particle properties with crater morphology and foil perforation statistics allows direct interpretation of data from experiments on orbiting spacecraft. Model results are compared with 5 μm foil perforation and 0.5 mm craters on the different faces of LDEF.
