The Advanced Technology Large-Aperture Space Telescope (ALTAST), funded as part of the 2008/09 NASA Astrophysics Strategic Mission Concept Study, examined multiple mission concepts to address its four core research questions. One of these concepts was an 8-meter monolithic aperture observatory (ATLAST-8m). This poster summarizes the results of the ATLAST-8m design study including a trade analysis between on-axis and off-axis configurations.
