Telescopes, Microlensing Observations

In 2002, plans were announced for the construction of a 1.5-2 m class
telescope at the Mount John University Observatory as part of the
Microlensing Observations in Astrophysics (MOA) project. The telescope
is now under construction. This article presents details of the new
telescope and the impact it will have on microlensing research.
