The long-term behavior of the optical counterparts of the radio sources 4C 61.20 (OL 682 or 1049+61) and OF 024 (PKS 0414-06, 4C 05.17, or 3C 110) is determined from a search of plates taken between 1928 and 1952. The 15.0-magnitude blue stellar object identified with 4C 61.20 is found to exhibit erratic variations with a range of at least 1.7 magnitudes, to have periods of quiescence as well as large-amplitude rapid variability, and to have been in an active phase in 1935, 1941, 1947, and 1951. For the 15.0-magnitude blue stellar object associated with OF 024, it is shown that the character of the variations is similar to that found for 4C 61.20, the periods of optical activity are less well defined, the range of variability is at least 1.3 magnitudes, and the variations are less rapid than in 4C 61.20. It is suggested that the emitting regions in both objects are of comparable size.
