We find that smooth one dimensional spherical shell models are incapable of reproducing the multiwavelength observations of wind blown bubbles revealed in the Spitzer/GLIMPSE survey. In particular, 1D models produce surface brightness profiles that are much more centrally concentrated than observed. We find that 3D clumpy models effectively flatten the dust temperature profile within the circumstellar shells and provide a better match to the observations. Our 3D models which incorporate reprocessing of starlight by thermal and non thermal (PAHs and VSGs) dust grains reproduce the relative multiwavelngth variation of the bubbles. Our analysis allows us to estimate the clumpiness of the bubbles, PAH fractions, and also the absorption by dust of Lyman continuum photons from the ionizing source(s).
