We present a study of the pre-protostellar core L1544. Existing SCUBA and ISO data are compared to a large grid of self-consistant, three-dimensional continuum radiative transfer models. We find that it is possible to constrain the structure of L1544. In particular, we are able to constrain the power-law dust density distribution, optical depth, size, axis ratio, central luminosity, and strength of the ISRF. We infer that L1544 has a smaller size and mass and a larger optical depth and ISRF than has been suggested by previous spherical modeling. Finally, we find that both the spectral energy distribution (SED) and the intensity maps are necessary to best constrain the model.
