We present initial results from coupled 3-D MHD simulations of twisted magnetic flux tubes that have risen through a model solar convection zone and emerged into the lower corona. We use the anelastic code ``ANMHD'' to simulate the rise of buoyant flux tubes through the solar convection zone, and use this data to generate a photospheric boundary that drives a simple simulation of the solar transition region and corona using a modified version of the publicly available code ``ZEUS3D''
