The production of 26Al in asymptotic giant branch and
Wolf-Rayet stars as predicted by current stellar models is reviewed. The
uncertainties affecting those predictions are discussed. In particular,
the role of ``non-standard'' processes, such as diffusive or rotational
mixing, is analysed.
