We report on two years of approximately daily short ( 1 ks) monitoring observations of the Galactic Center by the Swift X-ray , centered on Sgr A*. XRT has an approximately 22’ field of view, and is sensitive in the 0.2-10 keV range. The unique rapid slewing capability of Swift allows for these short daily monitoring observations due to the very low overhead on planning such observations and such observations would not be possible with any other current X-ray telescope. Observations taken daily for 9 months of the year when Sgr A* is greater than 45 degrees from the Sun, with occasional interruptions due to the proximity of the moon and higher priority TOO Swift observations. This daily monitoring allows not only an deep combined image of the Galactic Center region to be obtained, but also allows for unparalleled monitoring of transient X-ray sources in the Galactic Center, which is one of the most active X-ray regions in our Galaxy. We report on monitoring over 2 years of the recurrent transients AX J1745.6-2901 and GRS 1741.9-2853, which have exhibited periods of flaring and quiescence during the two year monitoring period, and present detailed light-curves of both sources. We also report on the discovery and monitoring as well as a number of previously unknown short-lived transient sources in the region.
