Understanding the uniform rotation of the solar radiative interior has proven quite challenging. In this talk I will briefly overview the main mechanisms proposed for this uniform rotation; internal gravity waves and magnetic fields. I will then focus on new 2.5D simulations of the coupled radiative and convective regions, which were conducted to study how angular momentum is transferred between the regions.
