Simulations have been performed for the interactions of the solar wind with weak comets using hybrid codes, over a range of gas-production rates and an IMF oriented perpendicular to the simulation plane. Where gas production is below 10 exp 25/sec, the cometary atmosphere forms a strong, cycloid-like tail. Above that gas-production level, the cometary atmosphere forms a cone-type tail, in conjunction with a structuring of the coma. These simulation results may apply to Phobos, Deimos, and perhaps even to Pluto.
