IERS routinely provides homogeneous celestial and terrestrial references and Earth orientation parameters with an accuracy of a few tenths of a milliarsecond (about 1 cm at the surface of the Earth). The global observing activity involves measurements from the following systems: Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), Lunar Laser Ranging (LLR), Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR), Global Positioning System (GPS) and Doppler Orbitography and Radiolocation integrated by Satellite (DORIS). A total of about 600 radio sources and about 300 terrestrial network sites were involved in the materialization of the celestial and terrestrial reference frames. The analyses performed by about 30 groups of 10 countries provide the daily monitoring of the Earth orientation parameters as well as the maintenance of the celestial (ICRF) and terrestrial (ITRF) reference frames. In addition, IERS has successfully continued the monitoring of the Atmospheric Angular Momentum (AAM) and other data relevant to the global atmosphere dynamics.
