Infrared photometry from 1.2 to 3.5 microns for eight optical H II regions is presented. Light from the exciting stars affects the emission at the shorter wavelengths whereas at 3.5 microns there is excess emission from heated dust within the H II regions. In some of the objects there may be an excess even at 2.2 microns. The distribution of the infrared flux implies that there are radial density gradients in the gas and dust distributions. In S 186 the dust emission, relative to that of the gas, increases toward the outside.
