We report here spectrophotometry of Nova Sagittarii 1992 No. 2 in the wavelength interval 0.72 to 1.34 micrometer obtained on four nights in August 1992 and three nights in October 1992, approximately 40 and 90 days after peak brightness. During this period, we observed significant changes in the strengths and species of the emission lines present, and in the continuum brightness. In mid-August a highly complex spectrum dominated by lines of O I and rich in N I lines was seen. Lines of C I, Fe II, and several members of the Paschen series were also detected. By early October 1992, the lines of N I, C I, and Fe II had weakened substantially, and He I lambda 10830, weak in our mid-August spectra, had become the dominant feature. Lines of He II, F I, and several weak coronal lines were also seen in the October data. Both Lyman beta and continuum fluorescence are active in the formation of the O I lines observed. The N I lines appear to be formed by a combination fluorescence.
