We report early results from the Chandra LETG observation of Lambda Andromedae. Lambda Andromedae (HR 8961, HD 222107) is an RS CVn binary system (d =26 pc) consisting of a G8 IV-III and a spectroscopically undetected secondary. Since the primary dominates the emission, the photospheric abundances are relatively well known, and thus the system makes an ideal candidate for studying coronal-to-photospheric abundance patterns. A Chandra LETG spectrum was obtained in July 2002 with an exposure time of 98.6 ks. The spectrum contains emission lines from many elements and ionic species. We use a line-based analysis to determine the relative abundance ratio between Ne and Fe, and discuss the implications for understanding coronal abundance anomalies.
