The rotation rate of a planet is one of its fundamental properties. At the gas giant Saturn this rate is difficult to determine, with the alternate clock the magnetic field being nearly symmetrically aligned with the rotation axis. Magnetic field observations from the first two years of Cassini's orbital tour around Saturn have revealed a regular periodicity in the magnetic field which has slowed since the Pioneer and Voyager epochs. Implications for Saturn's inner rotation period will be discussed.
