This IDEAS session will begin with an overview of the goals and strategies behind the Education/Public Outreach segments of proposals to the Office of Space Science and how scientists can use the program to optimize their influence on the development of effective K-13 educational resources. Discussion will continue to address the range of programs appropriate to the E/PO. Examples of past IDEAS programs will be presented that are representative of the innovative approaches encouraged by the program, as well as examples of teacher training and curriculum development programs.
