An attempt to detect radio continuum emission from the optical stellar condensation V645 Cygni, which has been identified with the infrared source AFGL 2789 and is believed to be an O-type zero-age main-sequence star embedded in a molecular cloud, is reported. Flux measurements were made at 10.6 GHz in 1979 at the Algonquin Radio Observatory by the method of wagging, and aperture synthesis observations were obtained at the Very Large Array in 1980 at 4.885 and 15.035 GHz. Upper limits of 0.5 mJy and 4 mJy are obtained for the continuum flux densities at 5 and 15 GHz, respectively, in apparent disagreement with the measurements of Cohen (1977). Results suggest an H II region with an angular size less than 0.06 arcsec and a density greater than 3 x 10 to the 6th/cu cm, which may be the result of a stellar wind with a mass loss rate less than 0.00001 solar masses/year.
