The relation between microwave field minimum and maximum energy density, important in the determination of maser source physical condition and emission spot size, is investigated for three homogeneous maser cloud geometries: a thin tube, a thin disk, and a sphere. An approximate analytical calculation scheme is presented, and radiation properties are found to satisfy transfer and rate equations; supporting the established view that the active medium is 10 to 100 times larger than the interferometer size. It is shown that luminosity is only slightly affected by the shape of their entire region, while the angular variation of the intensity and peak intensity of the rays are strongly conditioned by geometry.
