We explore some consequences of magnetic fields within dense cold clouds in cooling flows. If these clouds are in pressure equilibrium then any weak ambient magnetic field will be coupled to the local matter density. The particle density increases with depth into the cloud as the cloud becomes self-shielding and the temperature falls. Magnetic fields that are well under the equipartition value at the cloud surface will be amplified as the cloud density increases as long as matter controls the field. We show several resulting effects on the thermal structure of the cloud.
