NGC 5128 is the brightest group member in the low density Centaurus group, and is the nearest readily accessible E/S0 galaxy, only 3.9 Mpc away. As such, it provides a unique possibility to study the halo dynamics and formation history of such a galaxy and its relation to its surrounding satellite galaxies. We use more than 340 globular clusters in NGC 5128 to measure the kinematics and mass of the halo of NGC 5128 out to 40 kpc in radius and show the kinematics match that of the Centaurus group as a whole.
