We show preliminary results about the effective temperature, surface gravity, and projected rotational velocity of eleven M dwarfs from the comparison of high-resolution near-infrared spectra with resolving power of ~20,000 and atmosphere synthetic models. Our results are in good agreement with those found in the literature. We find that the haze of observed absorption features (mostly water vapor) is relatively well modeled by the synthetic spectra.
