UBV photometry of AC Cancri (a close binary system consisting of blue
and red stars) leads to the suggestion that this object is a former nova
or a nova-like variable. This suggestion is supported by the observed
large UV excess of the blue component, significant fluctuations in the
light curve, and the position of the components on the H-R diagram.
