VBLUW photometry of the unique, recently discovered very small amplitude and very short period Cepheid of presumably population I BR 7308 = HD 180583 discussed (ampl. in visual: 0.3 to 0.05 mag; P = 1d.491). Interstellar reddening and physical parameters are determined with the aid of theoretical two-colour diagrams. The star appears to be situated near the red edge of the instability strip.
