A brief discussion of the properties of ringed galaxies, which
theoretical models of galaxies should be able to explain, is given. Some
of these properties are illustrated with recent CCD observations of four
especially good examples of ringed galaxies: NGC 3081, NGC 7020, NGC
7187, and NGC 7702.
