We discuss recent Max Millennium Campaign observations of the Sun using the VLA, RHESSI and TRACE. The goal of these observations is to combine the microwave, hard X-ray and EUV data to provide information about the buildup and impulsive release of energy during solar flares. The high angular resolution of these instruments together with their unique spectral capabilities has been used to investigate the temporal evolution of the flare emission that, together with models for the propagation and containment of the particles, can constrain the plasma parameters of the magnetic structures where energy release takes place. The time profiles of the 3.5 and 6.2 cm VLA burst emission are generally similar to those detected at hard X-ray energies by RHESSI suggesting that the energetic, nonthermal electrons that produce the radio emission originate in the same population as those that produce the hard X-rays, and have a common spatial origin. In some cases, however, VLA snapshot maps show that the microwave sources are spatially separated from the hard X-ray and EUV ones, reflecting differences in the radiation mechanisms of the emitting electrons. These observations are supported by a grant from NASA's Sun-Earth Connection Guest Investigator Program.
