We present results of analysis of 397 flares during 2001 as detected by the Owens Valley Solar Array (OVSA). This is a more in-depth study to investigate some results indicated by a previous study of solar bursts (Nita, Gary, Lanzerotti & Thomson 2002, ApJ, 570, 423.), which was limited at the peak time of the bursts at a few frequencies.
The new study involves temporal dependence of parameters and the more complete frequency coverage available with OVSA, which measures solar fluxes at 40 frequencies in 1-18 GHz range with 4 s time resolution.
We investigate distributions of the burst parameters such as maximum flux density in the spectra, peak frequency, spectral slopes below and above peak frequency, duration in both rise and decay phases and total energy at selected frequencies. We discuss correlations between these parameters, which help us to understand particle acceleration and flare energetics.
