The characteristics of the interplanetary dust are examined, giving attention to particle size, radial distribution, orbital aspects, composition, density, origin, and electrical charges. Details concerning the solar wind are investigated along with zodiacal light variations and dynamic variations concerning interplanetary dust characteristics in connection with discontinuities regarding the solar wind. A theoretical study of short dynamic variations with respect to the zodiacal light is conducted and the effect of solar activity on zodiacal light is studied in detail. Other subjects discussed are related to observational techniques and zodiacal coronas.
