The formulation of two component spinors in the context of General Relativity has been extended to (2j + 1)-component spinors j=0,1/2,1,3/2,...which includes the decomposition of the Riemann tensor into Petrov types,covariant differentiation and generalised spin coefficients. The formalism is developed along parallel lines with that of quantised fields.
