The rise times in radio bursts are analyzed considering their dependence on electron distribution time evolution, using a numerical model of gyrosynchrotron emission. The results in the optically thin part of the spectrum are interpreted using 22 and 44 GHz observations made with the Itapetinga radio telescope. The rise time in high-frequency microwaves, for the November 13, 1981 solar burst at 11:02 UT, appears to be controlled by changes in the number of low-energy particles of the electron distribution.
