A formula for the three-dimensional orbital angular momentum of a moving particle in a gravitational field produced by a rotating mass is derived. On this basis, the author analyzes the influence of the solar rotation on the orbital angular momentum of the Earth and point out: (1) solar rotation produces slightly an induction on the orbital movement of the Earth in the same direction; (2) the orbital angular momentum of the Earth is inconstant.
