On the basis of simultaneous accurate observations of fifteen classical cepheids with 3 < P(days) < 7 (Gieren, 1981, 1982), the linear relation between log(PΔV) and logΔR (Fernie, 1965; Nikolov and Tsvetkov, 1972) is verified (ΔR and ΔV are the amplitudes of the radius and light variations). Linear relations are also obtained between logP and logΔR, log(PΔV) and log(ΔR/R), logP and log(ΔR/R); R is the mean stellar radius. It is confirmed that the s-cepheids have smaller values of ΔR and ΔR/R than other cepheids with the same periods (ΔR/R < 0.075 for the s-cepheids). The presence of binaries among the investigated cepheids has a minor effect on the relations considered.
