The paper presents theories on the evolution of galaxies, emphasizing a possible relationship between present and primeval galactic formations. A major problem, however, is the lack of instrumentation available for measuring galactic distances and spectra. Attention is given to determining a correlation between mass, luminosity, and lifetime of regular and primeval galaxies. Graphs are presented that depict the intrinsic excited spectrum of a primeval galaxy as well as the spectrum of a quasar. An attempt is made to determine the origin of quasars with the hope of discovering correlations with primeval and present galaxies.
