A method is proposed for solving the equations of satellite motion in closed form with allowance not only for the influence of the principal zonal harmonics in the expansion of the earth's gravitational potential but also for the influence of longitudinal terms in this expansion. Because of this, the method is well suited for use in applied celestial mechanics.
