The articles in this issue address the following topics: solar physics, dynamics and physics of bodies of the solar system, physics of the stars and interstellar medium, structure and dynamics of the galaxy, and instruments and devices. The specific articles discuss Chebyshev's iteration method for solving the linear force-free field equations in a limited domain; identification of rotational modes of solar oscillations using radio observations; Tisserand constants of long-period comets; the surface photometry of anomalous tail of comet Bradfield 1987 XXIX; and the nitrogen abundance in the atmosphere of K-giant lambda1 Leo. Additional articles discuss a database for stars in the main meridional section of the Galaxy (MEGABASE); an achromatic retarder for vacuum ultraviolet; a simple way for Solc filter synthesis; and a device for precise spectrophotometry of the Sun as a star.
