A 3-dimensional high-resolution density field of galaxies from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) is examined with a range of smoothing lengths (5-50 Mpc) to extract clusters and superclusters of galaxies. We study four properties (numbers of components, filamentation, two-point correlation function, and genus) of these density field (DF) clusters and superclusters at different smoothing levels, and compare the properties of the DF-clusters with mock samples from N-body simulations, based on current values for cosmological parameters, in a metric space of statistics of these properties (3D Metric Space Technique). We find that these properties (as functions of smoothing length) reveal significant statistical differences among our mock and observed samples and readily interpreted physical explanations of those differences.
