We present observations of the extrasolar planetary system CoRoT-Exo-1 using the SALTICAM imager on the Southern African Large Telescope (SALT). The data were taken in slot mode, allowing a high cadence of 7 Hz (corresponding to an exposure time of 0.147 seconds), with a typical flux measurement uncertainty of several millimagnitudes in each exposure. In principle, our data would allow a very high precision measurement of the transit time, providing constraints on any other planetary bodies in the system. In this initial dataset, systematic drifts in the photometry are a limiting factor.
