The origin of the narrow-band splitting in the high-frequency edge of the Jovian decametric emission dynamic spectra is discussed. Three main features were observed on dynamic spectra, giving the possibility to elucidate the problem. A model for the generation of the Jovian decametric radiation is constructed in which plasma and electron cyclotron maser emissions are included. We explain the origin of the splitting and its main features.
