We present SMA observations of HCO+, DCO+, HCN 3-2 and CN 2-1 towards disks around TW Hya (a low-mass T Tauri star) and HD 163296 (an intermediate-mass Herbig Ae star). Remarkable morphology differences in the images of these lines between the two systems suggest that the nature of the central star strongly affects the chemistry in disks. We will compare with detailed chemical models to investigate the influence of the gas temperature structure, grain growth, and stellar X-ray/FUV emission on the radial and vertical distribution of the molecular abundances.
