With its resolution and sensitivity the new WFC3/IR camera on HST has revolutionized the searches for galaxies at z>6.5. We use the first epoch data of the HUDF09 survey covering the Hubble Ultra Deep Field with 62 orbits of WFC3/IR imaging, reaching down to 29 mag in the Y, J, and H bands, and complement it with the shallower but wider WFC3/IR data of the ERS over the GOODS-South field. Based on the Lyman Break Technique we select robust samples of z 7 and z 8 galaxies, allowing to follow the evolution of the UV luminosity function well into the Epoch of Reionization. In particular, by probing one magnitude deeper than previous surveys, the ultra-deep imaging of the HUDF09 enables a first measurement of the faint-end slope of the LF at z 7. The value of -1.86+-0.33 underpins the importance of low luminosity galaxies to reionization. We put our results in the context of the evolution of Lyman Break Galaxies over the entire redshift range z 4-8 and discuss additional physical properties of the z 7-8 galaxy samples.
