We present the high spatial and spectral resolution EVLA data on the selected regions of the large-scale HI gas present in the Leo galaxy group (Leo ring). The Leo HI ring is unique in its morphology and size among the intergalactic gas features found in nearby galaxy groups. Its ring-like structure of 200 kpc in diameter appears to be orbiting around the M105-NGC 3384 pair with 1.67x109 Msun of HI gas. While how the Leo HI ring has formed is still under debate, the nature of HI dwarfs (M(HI)< 2x106 Msun and W(HI) 20 km/s), recently identified in the ALFALFA survey in this region, is expected to provide further constraints. In order to understand the origin of this large-scale gas ring (i.e. if it is the primordial intergalactic material which the group has formed from or it is the interstellar medium tidally stripped through interactions between group members), one of the important questions to ask is whether these HI dwarfs are forming in a dark halo or not. The EVLA D array along with the new powerful correlator (Perley et al. arXiv:0909.1585) has allowed us to study details of those small-scale HI features in their gas morphology and kinematics.
