This paper contains a discussion on the equation expressing the course of the density of probability distribution in a lognormal distribution. A proof is given that the most probable value and the geometrical mean are two different magnitudes. Therefore the following plot must be valid: which, on the other hand differs from the plot published by Ahrens (1954a). The respective theoretical considerations are shown on the distribution of lead in Canadian granite ( , 1954).
