It is shown that some recently constructed similarity solutions in force-free configurations belong to a wider class of magnetohydrostatic equilibria, which allows more flexibility in the selection of the parameters of problems. For limiting configurations, solutions are constructed analytically, by means of matched asymptotic expansions, to a second-order approximation.
