Isolated magnetic field structures with banana-type polarization have recently been observed in Ulysses data, mainly in the slow solar wind. The interpretation of authors in terms of Hall-MHD solitons in isotropic plasmas failed. The major question addressed was whether other plasma models regarding the energy-closure relation are able to explain the `bananas'. Stimulated by earlier studies of Mjølhus (2006) a plasma model with anisotropic temperature has been considered. Looking for nonlinear stationary wave forms it has been shown that solitons with banana-type polarization exist if the parallel temperature is sufficient large compared with the transverse temperature that the slow mode velocity exceeds the intermediate mode velocity. Examples of `bananas' are given which in many respects resemble the observed Ulysses events.
