We propose to search for water masers, hot ammonia and methanol emission towards our galaxy-wide sample of massive young stellar objects and ultra-compact H II regions. We will be able to investigate the frequency of maser emission as a function of source luminosity and, together with our ongoing chemical evolution surveys, age. These data will also help to solve for the kinematic distance where we have multiple strong CO components along the line of sight. It is also a pre-requisite to future high resolution investigations with ATCA.
